Summary Article: Wahhabism Between The Mahdi and The Deceiving Messiah

Shaikh Abdulhameed al-Jaf
Translated by: Haidar Mazen
This research discusses the uncertainty of the idea of al-Mahdi for Wahhabis and their Sunni followers. Although the birth of Imam al-Mahdi was evident in numerous texts across history and was proven by many scholars and genealogists، Wahhabis and their followers had different views on his death or occultation. They، for example، do not accept the fact of his absence or long age. If this shows something، then it shows their contradiction because they proved the absence، the long age، any many other miracles and superpowers to The One-Eyed، The Deceiving Messiah.
In the first chapter، the researcher starts to expose the previous contradiction of denying the absence of al-Mahdi for his long age and accepting this fact for The One-Eyed، The Deceiving Messiah.
In the second chapter، the researcher focuses on the everlasting conflict between the good and the evil and how there should be a balance in this world between the two powers.
In the third chapter، the researcher proves the birth of Imam al-Mahdi as the last Imam of the twelve Shia Imams after proving the need of a representative of God on Earth (an Imam) at all times. The researcher then shows the inability of Wahhabis and their followers to understand and interpret the meaning of Prophet Muhammad’s Hadeeth that heralded the coming of twelve successors/ caliphates after him، and the last of them being al-Mahdi.
